The Turnstone is a winter visitor to Ireland’s shorelines, although in reality in arrives in Autumn and stays until Spring. It iscommon along rocky and stoney shorelines doing what it’s name suggest – turning stones as it looks for food.

Any rocky shoreline. Bull Island in Dublin has good numbers.
