Grey Plover

The Grey Plover is not a resident bird in Ireland. It travels all the way from Siberia to spend the winter here in Ireland, although it arrives in Autumn and usually stays until early Spring. It is a coastal wader and large flocks can be seen along our coasts. particularly between Belfast and Dublin, Wexford and Waterford, and Clare and Galway.
