Resident throughout the country in woodland areas. The Goldcrest is tiny, in fact the smallest bird to breed in Ireland. It is constantly on the move, which makes it difficult to photograph!

Usually found in summer at the East Coast Nature Reserve near Newcastle, County Wicklow, which is managed by Birdwatch Ireland.
