Broadmeadows Estuary

Grey Heron, present all year: Canon 600D, EOS 70- 300 Lens, 1/2000th Sec, F16, ISO 800

The estuary at low tide is good for spotting Black Tailed and Bar Tailed Godwits, Greenshank, Redshank, Golden Plovers, Brent Geese, Teal, Mallard, Lapwings, Snipe and occasionally Ruff, in Autumn and Spring.

 

Little Egret, present all year: Canon 7D Mk2, 100-400 Lens, 1.4X Extender, 1/1000th, F10, ISO 400

During winter it is common to see Goldeneye, Great Crested Grebes, Little Grebes and Red Breasted Mergansers.
