Birds of Ireland
The Eider is resident all year round in Ireland, but only along Northern coastal regions. This area sees large numbers of visitors in winter and It is also an occasional visitor to other coastal areas of the country.
Belfast Lough, Strangford Lough and Lough Foyle are a good bet. They occasionally visit Skerries in winter and early Spring where they can be seen along the road between Skerries and Balbriggan.
